Chalicotherium was a prehistoric animal that walked like a gorrila.
At about 3 meters in height chalicotherium was distantly related to the modern Tapirs and horses. They lived during the oligicene time period. Although huge they were actually peacefull herbivores. They were one of the main prey for Hyaenodon . They lived alongside animals like indricotherium, a type of giant prehistoric rhino. Chalicotherium is only related, because of its hoof's on its feet.
Chalicotherium is a genus of extinct browsing odd-toed ungulates of the order Perissodactyla and family Chalicotheriidae, found in Europe, Africa, and Asia during the Oligocene to Lower Pliocene.

Chalicotherium was shown in walking with beasts in land of the giants, episode 3. It was shown being one of the main sources of prey for animals like hyaenodon, (hyena-don). In the show, one was killed by a Hyaenodon.
