Centrosaurus was a short frilled ceratopsian, that lived during the late Cretaceous Period.
At 20 feet long, and larger than the long frilled Chasmosaurus, centrosaurus was different from its relatives because it had bones turning into the frill. It was a centrosaurine, ceratopsians that had only one huge nasal horn. It was related to Strykosaurus.
It was an animal that lived while in a herd, so, it, like other dinosaurs used Herding as its first, and foremost defence. Its name means pointed lizard.
